PENCIL PARTNERS

PENCIL Foundation is a private nonprofit (501(c)(3) organization established in 1982 by Nashville business and community leaders who recognized the need for community involvement in public education.  Their mission is to link community resources with Nashville public schools to help young people achieve academic success and prepare for life.  They do this by finding businesses in the community who are willing to sponsor and find support for a school.  The support can take many forms from donation of pencils to field trips, volunteer visits and community development efforts.
