The 2012-2013 school year is off to a tremendous start and we have seen many changes to the school. Our new administrative team includes Principal - Michelle McVicker, Assistant Principal - Derek Sanborn, and our Transformation Facilitator - Jori Martinez-Woods. The school now serves PK - 4th grade and we have many new faces added to our faculty as well as some returning faculty members. We are very excited about all the new resources available in our building this year.

 These new resources include:

New tables and chairs to create dynamic learning opportunites

Classroom sets of Netbook Computers

Classroom sets of Ipads

5 Desktop computers in each K - 2 classroom

Classroom sets of Ipods available for checkout

SMART Boards for each grade level

A parent connection room with computers

Summer School at Buena Vista Elementary
(No Cost! Tranportation and Lunch Provided)

Buena Vista Elementary School is collaborating with the Nashville Teaching Fellows to offer summer learning opportunities for students.   Our mission is to provide a safe, collaborative, and rigorous learning experience. The summer program will be an extension of this effort in order to make sure that students are prepared to be successful in the next school year.  This program is free to Buena Vista Elementary School students. 

Space is limited; register today!

When:          June 3, 2013 through July 3, 2013
Time:           8:00 AM - 12:30 PM|
Program:     Subjects taught: Math, Reading, Writing, Science

Programs will be remedial and enriching
Prizes for excellent attendance!
School uniform is required.

Space is limited; register today!  If you would like to register your student for summer school, please complete these next steps:
1.      Complete the Summer School Registration Form.
2.     Complete and sign the Parent Permission Video Consent Form.
4.   Complete the Transportation Form (if needed)

3.     Turn in all completed forms to the school as soon as possible.
