Welcome to Buena Vista Enhanced Option School
Dear Friends,
Buena Vista is a historical building in the heart of the Metro Center area off 8th Avenue North. It is a beautifully constructed building with many unique architectural features.
The students and community it serves will reap the benefit from being surrounded by its history. We are going to have a Buena Vista Archives in the foyer of the original entrance.
An Enhanced Option School has several benefits that research supports to assist all students with their academic success. We have a highly qualified teaching staff and a focus on Balanced Literacy and Math. We have implented Exemplars, a math word solving program, and/or Enrichment each afternoon.
We have PreK-4th grade students who are given the opportunity to attend an extra 45 minutes a day of school in order to accelerate their learning. These winning combinations will help us reach the goal of becoming the best performing Enhanced Option School in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. Come by to visit and let us show you around our wonderful school.
Sincerely,
Julie Hopkins, principal & Buena Vista Enhanced Faculty and Staff
